Chrysoulla Markoulli is a Sydney-based composer who specialises in composition for screen and theatre. Chrysoulla was recently a nominee for the 2018 BroadwayWorld Australia Sydney Awards for 'Best Sound Design' for her work on 'YEN.' In 2017 she was selected as the winner of the 'Glories of the Score Student Screen Music Competition for Best Original Score by a Tertiary Student', for her alternative score for Erhan Yürük's short film 'Tamah'. As one of eight young composers selected nationwide for the 'Artology Fanfare Competition' (2016), Chrysoulla's composition 'The Epiphany' was played by the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO) and was used as a cue bell in the Sydney Opera House, Art gallery of NSW and Perth concert hall (2017). Chrysoulla has worked closely with the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), New Ghosts Theatre Company and Millstone Productions, composing the music for the stage productions 'Intersection 2019 - Arrival' (2019), 'YEN' (2018), 'Impending Everyone' (2018), 'Moth' (2017), 'Oedipus Doesn't Live Here Anymore' (2017) and 'Fight With All Your Might The Zombies of Tonight' (2016).
